I know I have disscussed this before but I would like to review firstly how much does Kirby charge for a rebuild for a vac under the registered owner. And what are the stipulations? Also how far back on their models will they rebuild? And what trim or other items on vac should be removed I know people were saying last this was discussed they only produce certain colors

If you are the ORIGINAL owner the price isn't that expensive, but if you bought it off ebay and are NOT the ORIGINAL owner and want it rebuilt the question becomes "How much Gold have you?" it gets expensive. And Yes you do have to pay shipping.

I have a factory rebuilt 513 (that someone gave me in payment for something) that is all trimmed out in tan with a hideous gold Classic or Classic Omega bag on it. I have since put on a more appropriate black open top bag from Kirby since 1953 bags didn't have pockets and replaced the tan cord with a gray one.

Yes it is very disapointing that you cant have your Kirby rebuilt with the original trim color scheme. I have heard that you can request the orginal color scheme but don't know of any one that did. If you own a Heritage II - Heritage Legend you have no worries as that was it's original color scheme. All the accesories are todays european design for replacement. Another disapointment to me. I like the Original attachaments that were standard with the pre Generation series.
