Hi all!!! I just acquired a 1205 from a friend. The 1205's I own are the later versions. This little guy I've never seen his style before! Sorry no pictures yet, my husband has the good camera! I will describe him and hopefully someone can help me?!? This new 1205 has a smooth metal body, light blue paint (no aqua or green/blue hues like my other 2), and it has a white button looking thing on the front under where the hose would attach. I'm assuming it's older, but I would love to know for sure what I got!!! If I'm able to take some pictures later I will post them! Thank you everyone! :) -Michelle

Sounds like it is the first version. The first version could accept an all electric hose as well as the older pigtail style hose. There is a PN port under the hose connector.

Yes that's the one my neighbours had with the cord wrapped around the hose. It had the pistol grip hose end with the adjustable wand for the power nozzle. Later on when the hose wore out ( 9 kids ) they got the newer hose with the pig tail to connect into the wand.

1205

In addition to smooth paint and the power nozzle outlet the more of the following you have put it closer to 1968---
-6 screws instead of 4 on bag door cover
-no drain hole(for users who pick up liquids and shouldn't)between rear wheels
-serial number on bottom of cordwinder instead of at front wheel
-no dust brush clip
-round bag lock out switch instead of rectangular
-metal handle instead of plastic
-no screen at back of bag chamber

Thank you sooo much for all of the items to look for!!! I just looked it over and they are as follows...
-there are 6 screws on the bag door. (4 on the door and 2 up above the door.)
-I didn't see a drain hole. There is a screw in the middle in the back, no hole though.
-serial number is on the front wheel.
-it has a dust brush clip.
-the bag lock off switch is round.
-it has a plastic handle.
-it doesn't have a screen at the back of the bag chamber.
Hope that leads to more answers!!! I'm all excited to know if you know exactly what year it is??? That's awesome to have learned all of this!!! Thank you very much!!! :) -Michelle
