Hey everybody. While waiting for the new kirby to come out, I decided to buy a riccar radiance to hold me over. I wish I would have bought one sooner. Absolutely love it. I've owned every kirby since the tradition, so I've never had a sweeper with onboard attachments. Boy have I been missing out. I hope the new kirby has them. I've tried all the silly comparisons, the paper towel roll tug a war, dirt meter tests. Seems to me the riccar is stronger at the nozzle. Little disappointed with the riccars hose suction.
A lot of people want to see a retro style kirby, but I agree with kirbyman Dan. I want all new and redesigned. Jmo.

@cb123, I'm still gonna get the new Kirby when it comes out. I just needed to get an appetizer before the main course.

@ kirby lover Dan, I ve seen your beautiful collection. Is there any other upright ,besides kirby & tacony, that you really love. Don't throw up when you read this, but I'm actually considering buying a dc 65. I've never owned a dyson.

I wish I had enough money to go buy $1000+ vacs to "hold me over." I can only afford to buy my vacs from Goodwill, and I still can't buy them the parts they need.

I like the Riccar-Simplicity tandem air machines, too.Have both Radiance models-the red one as shown and the white "pearl" colored Premium model.Hve a Brilliance and the newer Syncrony.Like them all-up their with my Kirbys and metal Royal uprights. All of these are very effective vacuums.

I would love to have the pearl premium radiance. I just couldn't spend an extra $500 for the Amber dirt sensing lights. I'll just keep checking ebay. The premium brilliance is sweet.
