Barb,
We can always depend on you! You do such a wonderful job of organizing and communicating. Looking forward to returning to St. Louis. I am so glad we may get the chance to hear the organ at the Fox Theater. We were hoping to hear it the last time we were there and it didn't happen. Stan's Collection is priceless. I will plan at this point to arrive on Wednesday and will be able to help you get set up on Thursday. Looking forward to another wonderful convention.
Again, Thanks for being such a wonderful supporter of the VCCC and all that you do! You are AWESOME!
I have been in contact with Pete about our Website, however with the wedding and honeymoon, I am sure things have been delayed. As many of you know Pete is Dave Olsen's partner and they were recently married. It takes time to plan and get organized for such and event. I am sure once things calm down we will have the new website up and running.

I'll be there, I believe Joe Kassock will be going too. We'll get there Wed p.m. so we can lesiurely get started on Thursday. It'll be great to see everyone again. It will also be a thrill to stand in that beautiful Fox Theatre. Barb, thanks for everything you do and for making everything so clearly outlined.

Mark, my garage is full of machines, parts, bags, and whatever that I just throw in there when I need to empty the car or clean the house in 10 seconds and many of the vacheads that come over make a straight beeline there and do not leave empty handed, so bring your shopping lists and prepare to dig and get dirty

It's true. Most of Alex's St. Louis vac collector friends make a bee line to the garage. We've already spent a lot of time with him before hand, so the garage is where the treasures are. Last time I visited Alex (before the Ferguson Riots), he gave me a Kirby model 2C, 2 Kenmore canisters from the early 1960's, a Hoover 87, an Electrolux Olympia One, and a set of Hoover model 65 attachments. Also, a beautiful Hoover model 66 Convertible. Now you see why that bee line to the garage happens. After the garage, we gathered in his living room/dining room for Pizza (and to run his PRISTINE Electrolux bronze model G - in the original box).
Alex is a great guy and has been a good friend to myself and the Vacuum Collectors Group for many years now. |
