I'm wondering if anyone knows who manufactures the various vacuum hoses, especially those for central vacuums, on the market today? Also who manufactures hose ends and things like the gas pump style nozzles? Plastiflex is one but they are from Belgium. Who would make hoses and ends for Panasonic, Kenmore, Rexair, Aerus, etc?

I keep coming across Qualtex as a pattern part maker of various hoses and tools for vacs. Whether they make the items themselves, I don't know.
From what I gather on review sites, Qualtex seem to be reasonably good quality though. They might be an OEM supplier, too.

I see. Looks like the only service EU product lines and you can't communicate with them unless you are an account holder

Oops not quite.

If you had actually extended your eyes to the contacts page you can still email them to their general email department which should then be passed over. I've emailed them in the past about products and got a reply back. Im not a Qualtex account holder.

Not from the US. When you try it refuses to send without an account number.

While I can't speak to Rainbow, Aerus or Panasonic/Kenmore hoses, one manufacturer of hoses I am surprised hasn't been mentioned is Hanmi of South Korea. They manufacture electric hoses for Tacony canisters, as well as electric central vacuum hoses, & they are Plastiflex's largest competitor right now.

Kirbylux77, that's the sort of information I am looking for. Thanks.

Sebo_fan, that e-mail link doesn't do a darn thing. No one replies. It's a black hole.

That Hanmi F-Handle, hose and the direct connect end for the canister is what I need. If I can figure out where to buy the components and assemble them I can in theory at least make two wire electric hoses for my old straight end hosed Kenmores pretty much indefinitely. Keep the original hoses unused as collectables and use the modern hoses when you use the vacuums. I am pretty sure there is a three position switch for the F-handle that would let me use it to turn the vacuum on and off and turn the Powermate on and off. I know there is one for the Plastiflex equivalent. Not sure what wand you need to use with their F-handle. I don't know if it is compatible with any of my Kenmore or Hayden wands. But that's the idea.
