Obviously the idea is dead-on. A robot with cyclones (and 2 washable filters), all-floor cleaning, and intelligent navigation sounds amazing. The Brushbar looks wimpy (those see-through nylon brushes..ugh), but my DC59 cordless vac has a similar brushbar and does a very good job.
I've had a Neato robot for a few months now, and it works shockingly well (the only downfall is that the filter needs to be frequently cleaned). I can't tell if the Dyson's navigation system is smarter than the Neato or not (it doesn't appear to be), but they're both lightyears ahead of the Roomba. My neato can vacuum my entire home while I'm at work, but I'm not sure if the Dyson will be capable of doing the same thing (plus it has a surprisingly short 20 minute run time, but like the Neato will go back to its charger, recharge, and continue where it left off). Dyson is all about evolving their products, and maybe gen 2 will have better battery life and a more aggressive brushbar (that's all it takes!) to clean carpeting better. Of course I can't wait to see it in action, but price will be a big factor in my buying decision. |

The battery life is really short, it would take twice as long as my neato to vacuum the 4 rooms that I have it set up in. Still, they are on the right track and I may well buy one when they become available over here. |

I'm having a love/hate relationship with the 360 Eye so far. I love the design of the robot itself, especially the futuristic look and the idea of it being app controlled, but I can't get over how ugly the charger base is (Guessing it's just a prototype) and the fact that it doesn't go under a lot of lower furniture (Like a Roomba or even Neato) since it looks taller isn't helping either! Either way though, I'll be happy to test one out when they become available, weather it's by buying it or getting one from Dyson themselves! :)
