Hello!

suctionselector's profile picture

It was sold in around 1989-1992 by Electrolux, I believe the Z2210 may have been the slightly more bottom of the line model, with the Z2230 above it, and the Z2260 above that. Made in Britain. I used to own the Z2230, which was a great vacuum. My nan also used to own one as well.

Here is a thread on the Dolphin range. I hope it fills any gaps for you.

P.S: I have included a catalogue scan from Grattan from 1990 with the Dolphin in it. It is not my picture, it belongs to Chris - Turbo500 - thank you for uploading all the catalogue scan's in the first place.

Enjoy!

Hi Lucy,

The 2 models to the left (Purple one, far left and grey one in the middle) are both Dolphins. The Dolphin's replaced the earlier 2000 series (like the 2020 you sold earlier this year) as Electrolux's larger cleaner in 89, as Jacob rightly pointed out. They're great cleaners, although the cut backs were becoming obvious with a more basic floortool included and plastic tubes rather than steel ones.

The 2210 was the entry model of the range.

All the best,
Chris
