Sears Parts Direct calls this a Kenmore model 28843. There is no 116 or any other three digit prefix. Here is the link to the exploded parts diagram. It sort of looks like something from Panasonic. Does anybody know what this vacuum is?

Dircik, are you SURE this is a Kenmore canister?? That looks more like a Hoover Dimension canister to me. The motor looks like it is a Hoover design, & I see the front vents & control panel looks like the Dimension too. Speaking of the Hoover canisters, though, I was going to suggest to you in another thread that perhaps the bag from the Hoover Dimension or the Hoover Spirit/Encore canister Type K bag might be able to be adapted to work with your Ryobi-built Kenmore straight suction canister you recently acquired.

I think you are correct. I went poking around the diagram section of the Hesco website and found a diagram for the Dimension that looks an awfully lot like that diagram. Here is the link to it's page in Sears Parts Direct.

And here is the diagram from Hesco for the Dimension S3635

It's a complicated vacuum with a lot of parts, isn't it. No wonder they are costly. Never knew Kenmore sold it either. Boy, wouldn't it be a coup to find a Kenmore badged version of this vacuum.
