Here's all the pictures of my Heritage II 13" nozzle from Mark F. (marks_here) and the brush and belt that came with it.

The brush roll, being a sleeve-bearing design, will soon need new casings for the end caps (part nos. 1539 and 1540). I am led to believe the knurled belt just might be the cause for these warped plastic casings.

I am not about to hunt for the ball-bearing equivalent of this brush roll just yet, as I want to see whether or not the main brush ends will need replacement too.

Ben & HII nozzle...

Hello Ben.

It was very nice that Mark was able to assist you in acquiring a 13" Heritage style nozzle.

The reason the large end cap is all 'chewed up' is that somewhere along the line, someone put the brushroll in backwards. That is also the reason that the belt 'track' shows going over some of the bristles.

The rest of the brushroll [ie: sleeve bearings] may or may not still be OK?!?! However, that said, I would NOT use the knurled belt with this style brusroll anymore. (imho ~~lol~~)

Cheers & hagwknd all,

Bill

Bill,

I know that well. I would love to have the ball-bearing version of the 500505 double-bristle roll.

Thank you again, like I said it was really nothing, when I'm out & about I keep my eye open if I've read on here that someone's looking for.

Ben & Kirby 500505 brushroll...

Hello Ben.

I do still have some of the Kirby 4-row 13" brushrolls (500505) for-sale & actually [IN STOCK]; unlike many of the online sellers who list as having them, & then substitute with 2-rows.

You have my contact info if you are interested.

Cheers & hagwknd all,

Bill

Alex,

I may try it out on my maternal grandma's 1985 Heritage II when I visit her for her birthday (Aug. 22).

Lovely, Ben! I see the Kirby is performing excellent as always, it's in the name! laughing

I love my '13 Nozzle, the Kirby is so much more nimble and easy to glide with it. Keep your hopes up, Suckolux, maybe one day you'll just find one while walking down the street! wink

What is that horrible noise comming from your Kirby? I never heard a Kirby sound like that. Are the bearings in the brushroll bad?

Stan,

I think it is the bearings. That, and the plastic casing is bad.
