Does anyone have much experience with Koblenz vacuums? I searched the forum archives and didn't find much, so I was just wondering if someone might update or add some new thoughts. Thanks!

NOT a big fan of them here. When I was working for a cleaning company that worked predominately in elementary and middle schools, they replaced a Sanitaire with one once. Never again. The Koblenz didn't make the length of the school year. It wasn't abused but it just didn't hold up.

Thanks Matt. I've not seen much on Koblenz, so I was wondering if anyone had personal experience.

I have a few Konlentz machines-they work well for me--they are much like Sanitaires.I have one with a dump bag, another with dump bin and my last one uses F&G bags. Two of my machines are commercial-they have the 3 pin grounded cords. The dump bin one is household-it has a two wire cord. All have metal bodies and fans.

I've dealt with a number of koblenz machines being used by hotels and janitorial services. They are built tough but get a mark down in my opinion for using a wood brushroll rather than a metal brushroll with replaceable strips. Otherwise they are decent, I've seen some with 10+ years in a commercial setting still working great.
