Beautiful Miele, too bad they did away with the swivel at the machine end of the hose on later models.

Not much of a loss when the hose still swivels.

The current S8 has a fixed plastic grip that slots into the body, but many of the Miele hoses now swivel independently outside those rings. Same with the one at the back of the handle. I guess Miele got rid of the swivel rings because previous ones used to crack before time. The hoses are lighter plastics and ribbed design means it won't crack due to excess movement that the hose has been designed to do, anyway.

I'm not a fan

Of these swivel hoses , they kink when the hose is pulled one way or another

It came with the smaller compact electric pn

I found this EB 01 a few days ago on the local thrift shop fir $ five bucks!

Typically , I don't see anything Miele in thrift stores,

I think this pn is about $300 to purchase
