Is it true that virtually all Kirby Traditions built with the locking headlight cap from the factory had the speed switch on the light? Most examples prior to serial no. F500000 did, even those as late as serial no. F387954 that Jimmy Martin (rugsucker) is selling.

I take this to mean whether or not there were any Traditions that had BOTH the locking headlight and the speed switch on the fan case (with a blue rubber protective cover over it) from the factory.

Well Ben when we had ours it would not run with the headlight in the up position. Only when it was locked down did it turn on. Now the other switch was on the bottom as the others have always been. We finally had to get the light switch disconnected because it was faulty & retired to the speed switch
