I knew this machine was coming, I just didn't know that it was coming this soon! I talked about it briefly in my last thread (link included) but I was told it would be coming in three days so when it came I was very surprised! As today, I spent the day at my grandparents house so when I checked USPS tracking and saw it came, my grandfather rushed me to my house to see the glorious new machine.
Getting a machine like this is different than what I usually purchase. But since I'm looking to extend my collection to things besides Orecks, this vacuum fit right in. Now I have yet to reveal what it is, but it's like a Hoover Elite. I feel bad for making you guys wait in suspense so I will reveal it right now... It's a Eureka The Boss Plus! I purchased it on eBay a little while back for a little over thirty dollars. I'm so happy I got it. Can anyone tell me when they are from?
I was very surprised when I saw what it came with. In the box was the complete vacuum, nothing was missing. Also in there was the original manual and the original warrentee information, which in my opinion is really cool. Is there anything about this vacuum that I should know? I honestly know nothing about it. I've never really seen any on eBay so when I saw it I immediately jumped on the opportunity.
In my opinion, these vacuums seem to be really good machines. But I would like to know more about them. I think that back when these machine was manufactured, was when Eureka was actually making quality machines, now it seems that they have really stopped caring. I have a new Eureka! Airspeed One and it's a good cleaner but it's really flimsy and low quality.
Does anyone have a machine like this? If you do, could you tell me a little bit more about them. As they good cleaners, also what are some common problems I should be aware about? Also what are your opinions about Eureka now? My uncle purchased a new Eureka! and from the looks of if it didn't look that great.

Thanks for your time!

They're loud and powerful! That was Eureka's response when Hoover released the Elite. They're totally mid-90s! Have fun with it, you'll need some Style U bags! tongue-out

Very good deep carpet cleaners for the money. But very loud, and suction thru the hose for tool use is kinda anemic.

Really lightweight though - easy to take up and down stairs.
