My "new" Oreck XL21 came in the mail today. It's in rough shape and needs some parts but I'm so glad to have it. I remember the commercials on TV about how it could withstand a truck driving over it and how it could withstand Hurricane Katrina and all that but I never was able to use one. Miraculously I was able to buy this one for thirty-five dollars and all it needs is the belt door. It's kinda beat up but soon it will get a spa day! It's also very different in design from the regular XL2's I'm used to working on.
If you are wondering about the other Oreck that I got, that one still needs a spa day as I have been very busy. I will be hopefully be getting to that one tomorrow. Later I will be posting after pictures of the XL21. Also I ordered yet ANOTHER vacuum which isn't an Oreck. I'm not sure when it'll come and you may not hear from me for a while because I will be on vacation.

*a link is included to a video about the XL21 also stay tuned for the during restoration and after restoration photos!*

After Photos

There isn't that much do a difference, there are still a lot of battle scars and some parts missing. Today I was able to plug it in and try it out and I was amazed by it! The XL21 is so quiet on both speeds it's much quieter than the regular Orecks. Also the picture of the sky is when the Oreck Gods decided that rain would interrupt my Orecks spa day.

Oreck XL21

I used to hate Orecks, But I love my XL21. It is quieter than other Orecks. And it seems to clean really well.. (better then the old Orecks). even though I only use it for quick vacuuming through the house when company is coming over. But after their gone I have to get out the Kirby to do a good Job! :)
