We live in a small home and I needed a place to store the rainbow and all of its parts and pieces. I was looking on ebay for a rainbow rug tool and I saw the original boxes that came with rainbows for storage. I thought I would see if a storage ottoman would work the same way the measurements were almost alike. I found this one at Big Lots for $30.00. Everything fit except the power nozzle and wand but I can store those in the closet where the old vacuum lived.

That's why they sold those back in the day with canisters, made storage a little easier when closets weren't as big or common.
