When I went in to work at the store a week or so ago, the manager gave me the task of cleaning out the stock room. We're about to start receiving large quantities of holiday merchandise and we're going to need every bit of space we can get. There was a three-year-old Dayton wet/dry shop vac back there that's hardly been used and she told me to pitch it in the dumpster. The she paused and said, "If it goes into the back of your car, I don't want to know about it." Over the next few minutes, as we walked around the back room, deciding what to keep and what else to pitch to make room, she kept making comments about how nice that vac was. like she was trying to sell me on taking it, so when she unlocked the back door and left me to get the job done, I pulled the vac and its accessories out back and covered it with a piece of corrugated plastic signage to keep the rain off it until I got off work. It's not the most exciting machine ever, but it'll be good for vacuuming out the cars. And what the heck, the price was right.
