Post pics of hideous vacuum ware here please. I like orange vacuums, this one has me rethinking that position.

more "Plain Jane" if you ask me. I would like to see this model in red, purple, or blue. It's a beige color with taupe trim. Blah. It is mine, I love it to death, but it's too commercial-looking.

Can anything beat the Hoover Z in terms of ugliness?

Now I have seen it all------A vacuum cleaner with a cupholder!!!!The Bissel and LG are the CLUNKIEST vacuums I have seen-these would make the Kirby seem like a lightweight! Those things look so creaky and awkward.Q up the sound of creaking plastic as they are used. |

What eveyone in the U.S.A has been waiting for!.... or maybe not. I have NO idea what Hoover was thinking on this one.
I just recently got this from Josh the Dys0nb0y. It may be ugly but it's mint! It's been used just a couple of times.
This is one of just a few in the U.S which is probably a very good thing. |

Looking at those pics of the Z it does actually resemble a leg, complete with direct filter cyclone. Then The One, um, nuff said... |

For me, it was two bagless uprights that I both owned at one point and out of the two, the Vax was truly awful compared to the Panasonic MCE4003. The Vax V0-45 Widetrack still sells today under a Dirt Devil badge today (the UK, European outfit, not Dirt Devil TTI) that takes bags whilst the bagless version 2014 year goes under a Morphy Richards Family upright model.

I actually like the look of Jake's Japanese Panasonic canister vac - very sleek and cool design.
Indeed, the LG Kompressor is one ugly vac! But it actually is one of the top performing bagless uprights in North America now according to Consumer Reports. It actually cleans better than many Dyson models sold here in North America. |

Thanks! I love it too! It's actually one of the best canisters I've ever used. It's got a very soft, soothing sound to it. Haha, it's almost therapeutic to push the PN back and forth as it purrs away, and the canister just whirrs in the background. Not to mention the DualSweep has deep agitation that you can feel. It's just a plain looking cleaner, that's all. I think Panasonic wanted you to notice the quality of the machine, not the aesthetics.

You're very welcome Jake!
I'm not surprised that your Panasonic performs well and is quiet to boot. Over the last 40 years, ever since Matsushita/National/Panasonic began exporting Japanese vacs to North America, they have proven to be excellent additions to our vacuum cleaner marketplace. They even took the American invention of the upright and the Dial-a-Nap design and made it several times better. They are kind of like the Toyota/Honda of the vacuum market!!! :-) |

The power head actually died on me last night. It quit switching to reverse and upon removing the base plate to inspect the motor, I found that a wire had broken loose. I have no idea where it came from and what it connects to. It's a ridiculously complicated rat's nest of wires inside of that silly thing.
