Does anyone have a manual for the Kirby G5?....not the video manual.....just the booklet manual.....because I need a copy of it so I can print it out and have a manual for my kirby since it didn't come with one when I bought it......I don't need the whole manual just some of it......

yes....can you post it on here?......another question....when u put a kirby on its back which way does the brushroll spin up or down?.....because when I spin the brushroll up the belt wants to roll off the belt pulley.....

The brush-roll on any vacuum cleaner should revolve toward the machine - imagine it flicking the dirt towards the fan. If it's revolving away from the machine, the belt is on the wrong way round, and the machine will be difficult to push forward.

so if the vacuum is on its back the brushroll moves down?....

I'm confused...

Down where? What is up and what is down? Is the front of the cleaner on the floor, or are the rear wheels on the floor? Or is the top of the cleaner on the floor, in which case I'd call it on it's front, rather than on it's back!

Just make sure that when the cleaner is running, the brush is revolving towards the motor unit, not away from it.

when the rear wheels are on the floor and you turn the vacuum on is the brushroll moving down?....

Yes...

...that's right. The brush-roll is going down, or towards the motor unit. That means the belt is on the right way, and everything's running as it should.

The brush rotation should acrtually almost be able to pull the vacuum forward-with you lightly but firmly holding the handle so it doesn't get away. The brush is pulling the vacuum forward. If the belt is put on wrong on a Kirby or Royal-the belt will just come off the motor pulley.the correct application of the belt keeps it on the motor pulley-if wrong-just flips off.Wasn't the Air Way the only upright vacuum that had the brush rotate towards the front of the machine rather than back as most are today?
