The DC07 came out in 2001 - the first year they were made in the UK, then in 2002, they were all moved to Malaysia. The DC07 ran until about 2009 before being discontinued.

The watchdog expert was rather incorrect- he was also adamant that the post filter on a dyson never needs replacing- and has no effect on suction- well I doubt that, post filters can get really mucky! Aswell as being adamant that a brushroll never needs replacing!!

Saw it too...

... it had the later type plastics, so it's Malaysian, i'd say around 2004. That's when the DC14's were released and from then onwards the darker type plastic has been used.

I also saw the Dyson on Watchdog along with some school friends and teachers. The Dyson DC07 All floors was malaysian. The guy stretched the brand new clutch belts and said "you need to buy a new one" along with the brushbar and filters.
IT was funny at the end how they got a MASSIVE thousand inch TV or something and recorded that very moment on hidden camera :P

I had the exact Dc07 4 years ago for £3
