Blimey Seamus - 9.6Kg, thats quite heavy. I'm surprised about it being made in China, I thought it was manufactured in the USA. Looks nice though, and only the 473'rd off the production line in this style by the looks of it.

I suppose being made in China is the price you pay for getting this vac for less than £150. I do like the look of that brushroll though, and those lovely lush brush tufts. I bet thats gonna be very aggressive on carpets.

I'm sure you will get back to us on its performance, but for the price you paid - its still a bargain! Well done.

They have one of these here now in my sheltered housing. It is amazing. If I had to fault this cleaner, it would be because of two things. One, the hose handle is too high and too bulky, thus easily bashes into things on the reverse stroke.

Two, the automatic safety bleed valve in the bottom of the cleaner is far too weak and comes into effect as the bag fills. It doesn't take much to activate it and with a bit of dust in the bag it won't reset itself unless you switch the cleaner off. One of our housekeepers has put a strip of tape over the hole on the rear of the cleaner. Works so much better now.
