My old 121 that I've had since 1984 complete with some tools and box. Had not used it for some while and then when got it out for some carpet cleaning it trips the 30mA breaker in the house after about 10min running. Other posts here suggest maybe just the suppressor gone. Don't know.

This seems the place to get it a good home but you must be able to collect from Petworth in Sussex as don't want to go to the bother of posting.

Emails to Andy at Petworth dot org dot uk with VAX in subject line please.

Aaah I'd love it, but it's very far away!

It will be the supressor, I did a thread on how to remove it completely, search the vintage forum for Vax 121 Supressor and it should pop up. I have a 121 that used to trip the house after 5-10 minutes, removed the supressor and it goes on for hours now!

Do you have any pictures? Someone may be interested. You will have alot more interest if postage was available, even if you box it up, wrap the box in bin liners (to protect it) and let someone arrange a courier their end to pick it up. If this was possible I could be interested, although would like to see some pictures if possible?

Or fix it and carry on using it! Myself and many others prefer the vax way of washing, and you wont get another machine quite as good brand new nowadays!

Sam
