does anyone know what would make a vacuum cord get real hot when plugged in a power strip plug? in the wall its ok. the vac is in the picture... I just tried another vac it did the same thing....first was eureka second was d.a.m.

A vacuum in a power-strip, especially with other items running off it! The power-strip is already drawing a LOT of current, that vacuum is going to Double, if not triple the amount of current being drawn. Play it safe, plug it into a wall outlet!
