That's a beautiful, unique, rare find! You've done a great job on it, and sounds like a trouper. It's amazing to me still how appliances last from that many years ago. That's a nice addition to add to your collection Robert! Can you imagine how today's plasti-vacs will last the next 10-15 years, even if they make it that long!

Gee, Robert,
Thanks for making this video. I've been following the Premier thread all along.
But MAN, this machine is a BEAST! That is some serious suction rush and the beater bar sounds really no-nonsense.
I wonder what people back then would say if they could meet us and we told them: "Na, nothing has become any stronger, just the filtration and some more fancy colors - you guys already do have what it takes (even for less energy, ours cost 4 to 6 x as much electric bill)".
Either they would frown in disbelief or laugh their ... off inviting us for a pint for such a good joke.
Funny your friendly and eager dog does not run away, he/she seems to be used to your hobby ;-) And so cute stretching the paw to the ground when the motor comes on - almost as if doing a demo trying to sell us some detail *g*
Now THAT is a Premier vacuum--The sound of it-VERY powerful and the backward brush rotation-unique.Too bad Premeir didn't continue with this design so much better and really quieter than the plastic pancake head design.Even at low speed that thing is a beast.Almost like you don't need the high speed. What is the amp draw of the motor and lo and hi speeds? And liked the dogs reaction to the vacuum.
