I have been after one of these for many years! Its not in to bad a shape save for a broken power switch tab (two speed switch works by flipping a little metal nub), sun faded bag and a little dry rot on the cord. I polished it up and here is the result!

Now there's a rare bird you don't see every day! Great find!!

btw did you know that the belt should be attached to the brush roll in such a way as to cause it to rotate "backward?"

That is to say, the brush rolls of most vacuum cleaners rotate downward toward the carpet.

However, the Premier Grand properly rotates upward toward the front of the machine.

I kid you not! Ask Tom Gasko!!

This is one to treasure.

Didn't Air Way brushrolls turn "backward",too?Very cool Premier machine-that is far better than the last Premiers made of plastic-the "Plasti-Premiers"

This is one beautiful machine

I just love that metal eagle plate and logo. Does it have a revolving brushroll?
Adorable, that horizontal round blower casing. A beauty! Got any videos of it?
It's a gem anyhow.
(Rare that I comment on brands that I have no knowledge of, but this one is worth a serious deep bow. Lovely!)

Featured backwards-revolving brushrolls on their uprights. GE being the model 111, Singer the R-1, and Premier being the Premier Grand. Apex had the backwards-brush on their infamous "Which-Way" Steerable upright!

Airway introduced the backwards-brush on their new Model 35 Cheir, With beater-bars to give HOOVER a smack in the face (Airway and Hoover were big rivals, copying one-another, then suing one-another!)! Don't forget Airway introduced the World's first Power Nozzle on the Chief, too! Hoover did sue over the Beater-Bars, and although the beaters where mounted in Rubber holders.Hoover won, They were still considered Beaters!Cool

Your Premier Grand used the same chassis as the GE 111 and Singer R-1, With Singer being the best-of-the-best Buck Rogers T.O.L. GE being the M.O.L, And the Grand being Plain-Jane B.O.L (Although not that B.O.L back then!
