Been to a car boot sale this morning and came across a vac stall who was selling various vacuums - mainly dyson and carpet cleaners.

I asked if he had any dc01 as I have been looking for one for upstairs. He said he had loads and I could have one for a £5. Many were in top notch condition and very clean only a few were tatty. He showed me it working on the generator and suction was fine. He even put a new hose on for me too (well took best on off another dc01). My friend bought one too but got the pale blue dc01.

Motor sounds fine and the brushroll looks like new. It's been well looked after. I've had it in the bath with oxy clean powder it's come up like new :)

To get one?

My dc07 is going to be used downstairs.

Suction on these 01s ain't that strong for a clean air vac - filters all spotless etc

oh, hush! You can always base opinions off of other's experiences! if Mrs.McAllister told me that her new Ching-Chong blender burned out in it's first milkshake, I'm inclined to believe that Ching-Chong brand blenders are not of quality! wink
