Melanie,
Like I originally thought, that bag on your machine is not original... it is actually a gray shake-out bag that came off of a commercial Royal. Let's see what other Royal fanatics can say about converting this shake-out bag to use disposables. The Adjust-O-Rite is also older (pre-1976) despite the fact it fits and is also light blue. As to finding an original light blue zippered Scafitex bag for your machine... that will be an even tough journey. Good luck... ~Ben |

The bag doesn't have to be blue. Any zippered Royal bag should work. You could
Even have a sewing shop install a zipper on your shake out bag and then use F & G paper bags. A good vac shop may have a Royal parts machine and will sell the bag For a fair price, like $10. I inquired for about a used part for my Miele and came away with A much needed and impossible to buy new replacement part for...$10 after some haggling. Vac shops toss dozens of great vacs every month but often keep a few here and there for parts. |

"Can I convert this shake out bag to a bag with paper replacements?"
It can be done. Can you do it? Lowes 2-in Dia 22-1/2-Degree PVC Street Elbow Fitting, Item #: 174891 | Model #: PVC 00326 0800 $1.79. You'll need two of them. Screw one into the inlet of the bag from the inside. Add the second one and that's it, other than a spring to hold the bag. That's a $4.00 project that works. Or, for about $75.00, you could buy a new Everlast bag. I believe that would work OK. Or, keep an eye out for a neglected machine on Ebay, snag the bag from it, and part out the rest.
