Hi everyone, I thought this might be a fun thread to make!

Feel free to share your favorite vacuum-related YouTube videos here, it can be anything, as long as it's related to vacuum cleaners!

I'll start off with this, it's a vacuum cleaner repair shop documentary from 1997.

Joe

What an awesome idea, Joe.

I do love that Mad About Machines documentary. I believe a few collectors have visited his shop before, but didn't get very far with seeing if he had any hidden treasures.

Here's my contribution. The Secret Life of Machines from 1988. Not only a great documentary (even one that my non-collector, non-enthusiast boyfriend enjoyed watching), but some great machines featured too.

The classic...even though they probably had to take the soleplate off to get the cleaner to pick up like that, Jamie Murray would be proud!

That's an upright AND a canister!? Makes you wonder where that idea came from.....

(Charles, I hope you don't mind me using this picture of your beautiful Dual-Sanitronic 50 as an example!)

Shake& Vac Model/Actress

Is the model in the commercial the same actress that played the part of Marion in the BBC sitcom, "Waiting for God"?

I do love 'Waiting For God'! I aspire to be Diana Trent when I reach my senior years :P.

But no, it's not. Jenny Logan was the actress in the Shake n Vac ad, Marion was played by Sandra Payne.

"they probably had to take the soleplate off to get the cleaner to pick up like that"

Are you saying the Senior is not very good, Chris?

I think this is not true because when she ran with it up to the camera she moved it over slightly which would of picked up that line from where the belt is, plus, anything that may of been left behind they would of edited out anyway.
