Indeed there was Chris, although it was 652 style rather than Ranger. I have a recollection of seeing this in a vacuum feature in Ideal Home circa 1992 - it seemed strange to see the older style cleaner so long (nearly 20 years) after it had been dropped from the main line - at that time I was not aware of how many exclusives hoover had produced in the 1970s and 1980s

Thanks for confirming, Al. I know Richie has one that Ryan has posted about before and I thought it might have been a contract cleaner like this one.
I used to go to a playscheme in the summer holidays at a church hall in Saltaire. They used to have that black and orange senior alongside a Premier Mini, but they never used it - I just remember seeing it stood in a corner in the cloakroom, covered in dust. I had no idea they ran as later as that! |
