So I just received my new pro aqua today. I have to say I'm disappointed, I feel like it has half the suction power of my rainbow. The manual says to set the dial near the clean section which is about mid way so I bumped it up all the way and still it's one of the wimpiest suction/airflow I've felt. Add to that the hose is connected to the basin like the older rainbows just makes me that much mor frustrated.

I guess I'm looking to see what others feel about this machine. I know I've read that a couple of you really like it. Don't get me wrong it's a really really well built machine. Even the new style power head (not wessel werk) is good, it's made in Switzerland now. But I just can't believe how under powered it is, and yes everything was attached right and there were no air leaks. Ugh just frustrated

I have all the boxes and all the attachments just didn't feel like doing a photo shoot if you will. Will gladly pits more pics of all of it if anyone wants.

I just sold mine I didn't like it after using it for a while . I love my new Rainbow E Onyx best then my Ocean Blue , Robo Clean and Hyla .I just bought a Robot water vacuum looks like a Rainbow D4SE we shall see how it is once it arrives .

I would be very interested in hearing more about your new machine. I have the new Rainbow and also the new Hyla. I much prefer the Rainbow because it is more advanced and user friendly. My 2 big objections to my Hyla are the machine uses 2 times the water which makes it heavy to move or carry and there was no comparison between the power nozzles. The new Rainbow power nozzle will clean circles around the Hyla on my particular types of rugs. Rainbow also has a longer electric hose.
No need to say any more as I did a thread to compare the machines earlier.

I would like to know how you found out about the Pro Aqua and the power nozzle looks interesting too.
What do you think of the other tools? Do they have their own unique design or do they use generic tools?

 I have nothing else to say about this machine tha what I just said haha. The tools are of good quality and the PN is nice never seen it on another machine besides this, but I'm sure it's used else where based on the fact it's made in Switzerland. I wanted a hyla for awhile but didn't like the setup and lack of brush switch or direct connect.

Funny I have both new style rainbow heads, the one with center belt and side belt and feel that any of my machines using a WW ebk 340/360 does better just in my situation. But I love my rainbow worlds better than this thing. Again about the tools they use the standard grade floor brush, can't really complain about them. It's also cool how you get to see more of the water action then a rainbow and how it swishes up the the center shroud and then cascades back down, but that's where the fun stops for me. Seriously this is the weakest vac I own my rainbow d2 would suck thie life out of this thing haha.

Note on the rainbow I find my new style with center belt to be better than my side belt and I blocked up those little vents on the inside of the brush chamber of the side belt model too. I don't know I'm an engineer at heart and scrutinize every little thing haha. But yea don't buy one of these stick with your rainbow.

Seems like a trend I used my Pro Aqua about 3 times and sold it . That new vacuum feeling wore off rather quickly . Great build quality THE END !

 Couldn't agree more. Like you said good build quality, but other than that it's going down in my books as one of the most disappointing vacs I've purchased. Oh well now I need to find something else to fill the void, I'm thinking the vortech force xr3000. Already know I like the power head and tools, I read that it has something like 120" of lift so it should be decent. We shall see haha.

I have that Vortech Force I love it great machine easy to use I feel it's better than a Tri Star
I am partial to this company because I am Italian and learned recently one of my cousins in Italy actually works for the company .

Because I LOVE water vac's with separators and always wanted to know how this performed.....From what I heard, it had loads more power than Hyla or Rainbow....I've ever heard people on here mention that it had more power than Rainbow......And now I hear you say the opposite......That's good to know I didn't really miss anything. Still looks like a cool machine though.

Did you get a lemon?

 If the suction is underwhelming, I wonder if either (1) you have a defective unit, or (2) you are missing something in setting it up?

I was looking at the owner testimonials. A well known vacuum expert called it the best of the water vacuums (if he was quoted accurately). I can't imagine his calling it the best if the suction is underwhelming and half that of a Rainbow. Something just doesn't seem right with your vacuum.

Assuming you have a warranty, you ought to have it checked.

I love my Pro Aqua. I got it about four years ago. I have the Wessel Werks power nozzle, and it really cleans my rugs well. Sealed Suction on mine (with an electronic water lift gauge) is 80. My E series Rainbow has 75. I love the Pro Aqua's airflow, moves a ton of air. The Separator on the Pro Aqua is a brilliant design. Nothing like the Rainbow's. The Pro Aqua has a very long hose and great quality attachments. I know that Pro Aqua uses a different motor now, they brought the new motor with stainless steel housing out about 3 years or so ago.

On the downside, the entire underside of the motor unit gets wet. Like a Hyla, so wet dog hair has to be wiped off. You cannot remove the motor unit and just set it down on the rug, you have to turn it upside down. I don't like that there is no Hepa filter. The pump for the shampooer is inside the motor dome. Making it fairly heavy.

I really think that's the reason I do not like the Pro Aqua or my Hyla I hate that you have to clean the entire underside of the machine after use . That's why I got rid of mine and I did get rid of a Hyla GST I had but turned around and bought another Hyla GST .Looks like once I find a new Pro Aqua with the new PN I am going to buy one of them to give it another try .

 Since mine has the stainless steel it must be using the new motor. Like tom mentioned everything must be wiped off the underside when your done. Having the hose attached to the basin is a pain as well.

However I do like how light weight the new style power nozzle is, it's also very low profile and seems to dig down fairly deep. It also has a really good turning radius compared to other power nozzles I have that pivot, this one just seems to maneuver nicer.

So torn on what to do.
