Are they still available? Could somebody please tell me? I would like to get two packs for my ESP. I might try to fit them onto a couple of convertibles too. My local simplicity/riccar dealer didn't know they existed!

No Wonder They're Going Out Of Business

We have no vacuum shops in our area, which is the seventh largest retail center in all of Ohio. They just can't compete with the ever changing World Wide Web. They're stuck in a rut with old stock, old ideas and old business models.

They Should Think Outside The (Big) Box

ornery's profile picture
Brick & mortar vacuum shops are too worried about competing with the big box stores, trying to sell the flavor of the month, gimmicky, plasti-vacs. They figure their edge is the service angle.

Do they offer any models at all, like the one you're buying the bag for? How are they going to sell the HEPA rated, new-fangled bagless machines, when the vintage design machines can boast the same HEPA filtration? Either they're ignorant of the changes, or hiding them. They should think outside the box, and sell what the department stores can't or won't. Shouldn't be too difficult to sell "old technology" machines that actually perform better!

Actually, I think you misenterpreted what I originally said.

They did not know that hepa bags were available for f and g uprights. They do not sell bagless vacuums, unless it is a trade in. They sell riccar uprights, simplicity canisters, sanitaires, eureka mighty mites, and bissell commercial products. They had a lime green panasonic upright in there as well. I'd say they sell excellent products, even though they may not be the most informed on the latest bags. Their prices on envirocare hepa bags are very reasonable.

The Simplicity an Riccar branded HEPA bags for all the non-Tacony made vacs aren't made anymore. They were made by DVC and when they suddenly went out of business the bags went too. TAcony found a new bag maker however for their own machines.
