With a simple twist and pull, presto, the bag comes off.

The bag on the (1934) Kirby early C is also 26 inches.

This is how the bag is attached to a (1925) Vacuette Electric. This is an early version, notice the fork lacks the spring.

Starting from the left is the (1922) Vacuette Special. Then there's the (1925) Vacuette Electric. Then there's the (1934) early Kirby model C. Then finally there's the (1919) Wireless Vacuette.

Very interesting -- thanks! I was particularly delighted to see the lovely bag on your Model C with the solid gold circle. More on that later...

Like the "radio tower" logo on the "wireless" Vacuette vacuum-had nothing to do with radio or RF!Now-at where I work--we need a vacuum that runs from SW RF!Very neat machine--gota be the first "cordless" vacuum cleaner!

Michael, about your question...

cb123's profile picture
The 60's is a pretty big gap in my collection, but I do have a (1967) D-80 pictured below with an exact replica of the original shake-out. From what I can tell they were willy nilly with their replacement bags in that era. Because they came up with a whole bunch of new designs, it was a cataclysmic epoch of upheaval which transformed the vacuum cleaning world forever...well, maybe not just like that, but it sounds pretty good. I think, perhaps, the next best possible thing you can do is to match the logo on the tag with the bag and the color of your trim would be a definite help in your decision. Best of luck, Calem
