I am looking for a Hoover convertible in good working condition that someone would like to send to a new loving home. I don't have a lot to pay for one at the moment due to mine and the wife's bills...but I am interested. I have wanted one for so long. I have Paypal and would pay that way. Any info/pics would be wonderful! Thanks so much!

Well, I'm assuming no one has a convertible they want to part with. And I don't blame them. I'll keep checking my local craigslist and I'm sure something will eventually pop up.

I passed up a nice Convertible at a Goodwill store for $8 a couple of years ago. A huge mistake...when I went back to get it, it was gone. Live and learn, I suppose. Beautiful machines.

Hi!
Good luck on your search. Besides Craigslist check your local papers for garage and Estate Sales. I have also picked up quite a few vacuums on garbage day. Never let a $8 Hoover [or ANY vacuum for $8] slip by again. The shame of it! They can make great parts vacuums.

Oh, I'll never pass another one up for that price. My collection consists of many Kirbys, some of which I gave a pretty penny for. And a few vintage Eureka uprights. I can only think of one cleaner I gave $8 for...and that was my 1976 Eureka Wild Moss Continental.
