Do any of you have experience using a Dyson DC40? They have factory reconditioned units at Big Lots for 249.99 and I'm thinking about getting one. My house is all hardwood and I'm tired of using a canister for such a big area....If the DC40 is good at cleaning hardwood without scratching I'm totally going for it! What are your thoughts?

I haven't got one at the moment but I have had them and They are really good at cleaning Hard floors and carpet The one thing I like about it is they don't scratch Hard floor

Caution

One thing to look out for is the small front wheel under the belt in the cleaner head. At our shop we had one come in that was hollowed out through wear and was scratching the customers floors badly. The vac was not very old.

 

Other than that it will perform alright, and to be honest the dc40 is my favorite so far of the current dysons.

Thanks for the heads up about the wheel I know exactly which one you are referring to. Yes Texan all the way here! Corpus Christi area to be exact.
