I have never heard of a Ford but it looks very similiar to the vacuum that my grandmother had when I was a kid in the early 60s. It looks similiar to the Swiffa? (is that the correct name/spelling?).

Ford vacuums were made by Ruton in Holland for the Ford Sewing Machine company in Canada about 1950. I am told that some Ford auto dealerships also bought them from the Ford Sewing Machine Co and used them as premiums when you bought a new car because of the name.
