I found this yesterday in the dumpster and I got it because it was in good shape, but it's missing the dirt cup lid. Does any one have one? Everywhere I checked the part was NLA and I'd like to find one for cheap.

I have one of those, It was a sample vacuum here in SA, its only been used a few imes by me. It has awesome suction though the filter can get dirty quickly, its easy to clean and like all ( Non dyson ) bag less vacuums in my collection I wash the filter after each use.

I once grabbed it as it was the nearest vacuum when we just moved into our new shop, It was late at night and I was trying to get the place done and needed to vacuum some plaster dust off the carpet, You could actually see the dust bouncing off the carpet in-front of the machine ( illuminated by the machines headlight) as I vacuumed.

This is one, if not my most favorite Non dyson bagless uprights out there.

That's a nice find, I'd pick that up too, if I saw one.  Looks to be in pretty nice shape, I always thought that glittery purple model was a nice looking machine.  I would that bag chamber cover would still be lurking around somewhere; they made that machine for at least 8 years or so.  Try calling some local vacuum stores, maybe someone can find you a used one?  Good luck!

I've tried every where I could think of, and couldn't find one. The lid wasn't in the dumpster I found it in and I'll try to find a parts machine to get one off of.

I've seen those in purple and tan, but never green. Did they come in other colors?

With a new belt, good bristles, and clean filters..

They actually do a very good job. They don't have as much suction as the bagged versions, but they have the same super-aggressive agitator. Because of a leaky switchover door for the tools, the tool suction is much worse than it should be. Like other Hoovers from that era, they come with a full set of Hoover cleaning tools, which I always appreciated. Give it a tune-up, and you'll be happy with its performance!

The friendly old man that vacuums the office I work at uses a commercial Hoover Empowerment. He takes good care of it, and keeps the HEPA filter clean. I used it once, and I was actually surprised by how well it cleaned.

I like the look of these machines. Wish these were sold here, the brushbars sound so aggressive and I love the red and green light which tells us whether or not the carpet is clean or dirty :) such a cool machine in my eyes, ai like both the bagged and bagless version

These things are a BEAST! It's heavy and bulky, but it does a great Job! I got mine at Boscovs in 2009 and as long as you keep the filter clean, it cleans very well. It fells so much more sturdier than a vacuum that cost me four times as much as this did.
