Hey Guys
I just put in an offer on this which was accepted - it appears to be very closely derived from an older BS36.....
Any thoughts?
Seamus

Yes, you're spot on!

Yep its loosely based on the SEBO 360/BS36 with a few cosmetic difference, which means it has the manual height adjuster dial at the side.

Cool :)

I'm glad it has Manual adjustment as I much prefer it- I would love a G1!
Seems reasonable for the money- hope the quality is good !

I'd be wary. They say you get what you pay for. A genuine BS36 costs 3 to 4 times what you are paying for this. Its probably cheap for a reason. If it was me, personally I'd rather buy the real McCoy.

Hi Steve
Valid point and one I thought of but at the end of the day that's Purepower money and it would have to be bad to be worse than one of those!

that commercial vacuum brand is used extensively here in the states and they cost a pretty penny...even over here. Score!

Better than a Hoover Purepower...

That's very true Seamus - if you look at it in terms of a Hoover Purepower, its worth a punt  - and I'm sure you will come back to us with your verdict when you've given it a test drive.

I presume it uses the same Sebo BS36 bags, and many parts are interchangeable?

Perhaps it was a US model that's been adapted for the UK market?

No, I doubt it Steve

Reason being that not all SEBO 36 or 46 series sold in the UK necessarily carried the SEBO name. There's every possibility that MinuteMan products have been sold in the UK by private cleaning companies at one stage.

The G1 is based on the X series, so this MinuteMan will not use the same dust bags, but rather the BS36 dust bags and takes a different filter system. Still I would consider it - I have used the BS36 and it is an extremely quiet vacuum cleaner as well as the fact that you can buy a reuseable fabric dust bag if you so wish. However bear in mind that the dust bags the BS36 uses is the disposable paper dust bags and NOT the new synthetic dust bags.

Link to SEBO UK for parts/spares/bags etc
