Can you show more pictures I would like to see more of it and also why you are enjoying it...What are the + and the - to the machine.

Good to see you on the the board again btw. As soon as I get my kitchen finished I will shoot a picture of my K.A. mixer! I don't even know the model number it is in one of the 290 boxes we had when we moved!

I haven't used it much yet. It's a very good vacuum. Tristar makes a 12-foot hose. Does anyone here know where I could get one? No luck on ebay.

Hose

Yup, that's the one. I thought I could get a better deal somewhere else. If I can't, I guess I might just buy it from there if they'll sell it to me. Also, does anyone know if Tristar makes a floor brush that's wider than the normal one?

HEPA exhaust filter

sleepdoc's profile picture
Right after I wrote the post the mail delivered my SuperMop for the Rainbow and this genuine Tristar HEPA exhaust filter for the MG2. I'll be glad to have the machine filtering the best it can! I installed it right away. In the process of ordering the 12-foot hose now, even though I don't wanna pay that much for it.

I didn't wanna pay that much for a hose, but that's the only place I could find one. So, I bought the hose, a new premotor filter, a 14-inch parquet hard floor brush, and a new permanent cloth bag. When all of that is installed, the machine will be absolutely mint. And it picks up like crazy! Hose pic is attached.

Does your TriStar MG2 have the single stage VM3 motor?  U can upgrade to a new Ametek #115923 high-performance motor; however, you'll need to order a new motor mounting gasket (EXL part #70205) so the Ametek motor fits correctly.

And dont forget the HEPA motor filter!

Got one today...

It's in great shape, I only paid $20 from my local thrift store and it's got all the attachments that came with it except the mini powerhead. All it needs is just a clean up.

Mg2

Patrick, if you see this, where did you find the wider floor brush? I just got an mg2 but it'd missing the floor brush, and small attachments. It's a really good vacuum, and in mint condition. Got it for $12.99! I'm not crazy about the one stage motor, but it'll do. I'll have to say though, my tristar cxl is way more powerful. I think the cxl is the most powerful vac I have, including my Rainbow e2 black.

Take the gasket off your motor you have now I order the tristar ametek 2 phase motor. The plastic housing will fit and seal.

The 12ft long hose for your TriStar A101 (EXL, MG & CS) cost $212.99 on eBay & tristarvacuumscausa.com

On eBay you're also getting the MiniStar M101; on tristarvacuumscausa.com U only get the hose but no MiniStar

Does the HEPA exhaust filter 'muffle' the sound more than the standard micron exhaust filter?

Is the HEPA exhaust filter worth the $ or does it not make any difference? I'm using VAC HEPA bags & HEPA motor filter on all my Compact/Tristar vacs (including the CS)
