Hello.. I'm new to the site, which i stumbled upon while looking for a new handle fork for my Kirby 508 (in supermarket section). Looking at some of the machines here and reading the posts, the passion you folks have for something so seemingly mundane and ordinary to other people is pretty inspirational to me. I'm a mechanical tinkerer, but never gave too much thought to the "lowly" vacuum as a collectible. I do now! Now I think I'm going to treat the ol' Kirby to a total spa treatment! I want to make it shine like the others I have seen here! I also found what I think to be an interesting piece for sale here on Craigslist.... The guy wants $65 for it... What do you folks think? Should I jump on it? It
seems pretty cool in my opinion.
