Probably because people more easily associate a visual aid to what's sitting in their closet, opposed to the specific name/model of the cleaner or the "Type A" designation. |

I've wondered about that too. The machines the bag fits are shown on the front, but on the back they have another picture with the bag showing in the machine(s).
On Type J bags, it shows a Hoover Slimline with its cover open and the bag inside. And the new Hoover bag packages show no vacuums at all. Bah! |
