Well, this has got to be the most sorry looking Dyson I have ever seen - the seller says it was found on a skip - the best place for it , and she should have left it there! No doubt it suffered the usual DC25 brushroll from hell syndrome and the owner showed it who was boss!

Nice and straight machine!

All for a bargain £25 - but note that the seller says "it may show signs of wear" Talk about stating the obvious lol

What amazes me is that someone will spend hundreds of pounds buying a cleaner like this, then treat it like that!

I don't understand why people even sell things in a state like that...I would of just left in the skip

I think that seller works at a waste recycling plant and pulls stuff off the scrap pile to try and sell on Ebay. These days, theres a lot of people at it. And yes, she could present what she is offering for sale in a better way. I bet there will be someone who buys this, even in that state

Does it even work?

Post# 268188 , Reply# 7   2/17/2014 at 13:09 (3,691 days old) by madabouthoovers ()

Who knows - she says its untested - probably too scared to plug it in as its obviously been wet - maybe it was a victim of the flooding down south as she's from Wimborne in Dorset. She is offering free postage though so that's a boon!

I still wouldn't buy it...but maybe Mr Parwaz will!

I think Mr Parwaz wants one that works - the only member here that might be interested in it would be Beko1987 - I'm sure he'd soon have it to pieces for cleaning.

Ooooohhh!!!!!!!!!!
I just say that on eBay :P
Ironically, in the southern England flooding, the BBC filmed inside a house and inside that house was a RED DC07I!

BTw I wouldnt pay £25 for that, it is quite a project! i would pay approx £10 if not less for that. Its a hell of a wreck
Plus, I would most likely NOt buy it. It was in a skip and Rats love dirt

If it has been flood damaged, it'll never work again. Motors don't take kindly to getting submerged in water.

I'd imagine that there will be a lot of other poor vacuums that will have suffered from the floods. The appliance manufacturers will be rubbing their hands together in anticipation of all those insurance payouts, when, eventually people get round to having to replace their waterlogged appliances such as washing machines, fridges, TV's and the like.

The water level was approx an inch away from the Dc07I's post motor filter

What?

Flood Damage, oh boy. You all have heard my tale of the DC14 that "Accidentally"  took to a water hose, haven't you?

Water was FLOODING out of the thing...Shame, Dysons sell quick, I lost out on a refurbished Dyson that day!
