I recently came across a Kirby Heritage 84 on Craigslist that has been up for almost a month now. I e-mailed the guy who is selling this machine, and he only wants 20 bucks for it. From the picture, it looks to be complete. All it needs is new bags, and it'll be good to go. I'm trying to save up some money so I can purchase it. He says that he'll hold onto it for me until I have enough money. Is it worth getting for $20?

I'd say so. That's what I paid for my Kirby (a Heritage II Legend), and it was thoroughly worth it.

Kirby Heritages are probably my favourite Kirby's so I'd say yes. Go for it. Im lucky to get one under $60 here.

The Heritage 1HD was the first Kirby to use a double-bristle brush roll, so I'd think it'd be equal to the later G series.

No, the heritage 1 wont ever out clean a newer machine. The emptors are different, and that really changes the airflow on them.

I don't care either way

From what I've seen, the Heritage is just as capable as any other Kirby out there.
