James,

That is quite a treasure-trove of Kirby goodies! Service manuals and proof books and everything. I'm sure you'll love all that.

I have a request: could you please show me the Classic III proof book in full?

Thank you,

Ben

Nice finds! I really like those kirby ties. I have a question though. Could I buy copies of all your proof books, manuals, and other papers? And could I also buy any extra manuals you have? I am selling my kirby model R on ebay right now so I would really like a copy of the 3R instruction book. Thanks

James,

He bought the Comvac off of Fred N. (compactelectra). As to the rest... he may already have had all that stuff prior to the Comvac or Fred may have given those to him, too.

Will,

Sorry, I meant to say your name instead of James in that last reply.

Yes, James B. bought that Comvac from Fred N. (compactelectra) as I mentioned before, but what I don't know is if the other literature he has up was his for years or if Fred gave all that to him as well.

Still, it's amazing Kirby gear.

What I would do for a Heritage II or GSix tie...

Hi.

kirbymodel2c's profile picture

Hi Ben and Evan, with regards to taking more pics of the proof books/manual I don't have time at the moment as I've packed everything away again and took those pics why most of the items was out. Next time I get them out and if I have time I'll take more pics. I remembered someone wanted to see how a older Kirby was packed in it's box. I can't remember who it was who asked.

Only the Comvac came from Fred the rest of the info has been collected over many years. I have other bits and pieces which I'll take pics of when I have time. I have quite few Kirby magazines. One of them I'm thinking of has a picture with the wife of either George Scott or Carl Fetzer in the main foyer at the Kirby factory with the line up of the older Scott Fetzer/Kirby machines and 500 series.

I think it was taken around 1984/85 so from what I remember there was only the 500 series style and back on display.

I would like to share that on here when I dig it out.

Craig. When you get chance you will have to pop over and see the Comvac in person. I don't charge for viewingLaughing
