Guys... im so confused and overwhelmed not sure what to do anymore. I just can't decide which vacuum I like more?? Or which one I should put up in storage and the other to keep as my weekly user. I've basically narrowed it down to two machines. My Decade 80 U4407(slate green)
or
Hoover Windtunnel Supreme U5468-900 - bluish/purplish tranlucent bag door and hood. Anyhow.. I like both machines..but dont need both.. I like the windtunnel due to its great suction and grooms my thick carpet very well.. but just cant get passed the idea that its not deep cleaning as good as my Decade 80.
As we all know a direct air machine will deep clean way better than a bypass machine such as the windtunnel. Of course the windtunnel is more convinient for the on board tools..and its an older windtunnel from 2006 still wasnt a TTI made machine, so i like the sound of the motor. not super quiet but not a screamer like the newer versions.

BUT

I also love the retro-ness of the Decade 80. I enjoy seeing the bag inflated and the double headlights on the hood. Love the double striped carpet lines of the old hoovers. Of course the only draw back IMO is the lack of tools and I dont wanna waste time attaching the tool set because its not worth the suction it provides thru them tools. On the plus side, I know its deep cleaning my carpet because i do have a dense high pile wall to wall carpet in my home.. about 1000 sq ft of carpet.. which include 3 bedrooms, hallway, living and dining rooms.
Keep in mind guys im single, no kids or pets.. So in reality all im ever gonna be vacuuming up is surface dust and occasionally carpet fresh.

SO.. which in your opinion/s would be the best bet for me?
Hoover Decade 80 Model U4407
or
Hoover Windtunnel Supreme Model U5468-900

Looking foward to ya'lls comments.

you answered your own question, you got no one to tell you otherwise, so vac up the place, have both at the ready.
The above floor cleaning has got to be tops for an upright in the WT, but they are loud & heavy, so when that starts to put you off there's the decade.

Why not both?

I don't understand why both can't stay?? It's EXTREMELY common to find 2 vacuums in a household. I'd use both. I have 14 that I rotate amongst. 2 is certainly no where near 14!! I think there will be days that you'll like attachments of the Windtunnel, while other days where the lighterweight Decade 80 may be easier to manuever around. 6 rooms is certainly enough for 2 vacuums. I only have 2 bedrooms, hallway, steps and a living room to vacuum of carpets and then a kitchen and bathroom with hard surface floors that I use a bare floor brush on!!

Are there any other vacuums in your residence by chance?

Nope just those two

Well I guess I could use both.. The WT for above the floor cleaning and the decade for my carpets. I see I have the same model of WT that u had at one time Durango159 do u still have it?

No, I sold that unit. I got it from a yard sale. Cleaned it up, refurbished and sold. I had to replace the brush roll in it with a CWP and in my opinion and experience that brush roll just ruined the machine. It groomed but not like that of a Genuine Hoover.
