I would've revived one of the previous threads, But they have been moved to Miscellaneous (Thus preventing me and certain other individuals from access).

This didn't really seem to fit the household criteria, so I'd figured to publish it here!

Last night (or the night before, can't remember), i had a dream I saw a Kirby Heritage II, a nice, beautiful one, on a shelf in some shop, and now I want to find a Heritage II!

I've had plenty of others, I'll have to write them as they come to mind!

so, what are Your Vacuum Dreams?

I had a dream once, when I was being chased by the Purple People Eater with a giant toothed Royal, set on shag. When then, all a sudden, I fled for safety into the Tower Which Ate People, and wouldn't you know the only real problem I had with this is - that I was still, very much wide awake. No, I never really had a vacuum cleaner dream before, but I have suffered some anxieties from them, from time to time. That's a bummer, I know what you mean, exactly, maybe you should consider upgrading your membership. When are you going to do a thread on your Eureka model 10, and how is it coming along?

You raise a very interesting topic. I can't really respond to this as my dreams fade within minutes after I wake up, but I can tell you this. Every night there is at least one dream with an Electrolux model LX, and a Kirby 512. When I was younger, there were fragments that I did recall. Older dreams have included a G.E. Roll Easy, Electrolux XXX, various Air-Way uprights, and countless non electric one or two person hand pumpers. I've dreamt of being in vacuum cleaner stores, museums where there is a Kirby Vac-U-Ette, and walking into a room where a vacuum cleaner is running. Yes, I do dream in color, and can hear, and smell. As far as I recall of the dream process, they are like watching a movie, but I never see myself. Also, since I have several R.E.M. periods, there are several dreams a night, but they merge into one, and only the one just before I wake up is the dream I recall for the first few minutes, then it fades.

I hope this helps.

Alex Taber.

Odd this topic should pop up today - I had a dream last night involving a Kirby Legend II and a door-to-door Riccar salesman. (Though, as far as I know, Riccars were never sold door-to-door).

The model 10!

super-sweeper's profile picture

I'm very GLaD you asked, the model 10 has been sat on the back burner, the original plug is still busted, and I wanted to find something, "safer". The original cord isn't very, "Safe", Aluminum wiring in a spiral pattern, but with no double insulation! just old cord insulation shielding the wires from shorting each-other out! I thought the idea of some wire coming lose in such an older replacement plug could be catastrophic, and I never finished the debate. to keep the cord or replace it with safety? I would love to keep the cord, it's never caused any harm in it's supple old self. it just makes me think of what could come!

I really do need to set about on the restoration, I just don't know when.

When I was ten, I had a flashback vacuum dream of my parent's old Eureka Bravo 2. That dream really brought me back to the year I was three years old in 2003. yes, I remember the vacuum very clearly. Same with my dream! It reminded me of that old vacuum. I can't remember what became of it, sadly. I now hope to find a Bravo 2, thanks to that dream.

That I found a brand new Legend II in some odd thrift shop, there was vacuums everywhere! mainly hoover elites. The Kirby came in 2 small "Kirby" boxes though, grey ones, with Legend II maroon pin-striping!
