He means lack of a suction relief vent. The very first Traditions did have this feature, along with the 10-blade metal fan (from July to December 1979).
And that fan case is a replacement, which because of the lack of a plaque where the serial number would be engraved, was actually supposed to be used for a Kirby Classic or Classic Omega. A replacement fan case for the Classic III and Tradition will have the serial number plaque on front. ~Ben |
