Dear friend: After the middle of January I'm going to send you a list of machines that need serious work. As I might have mentioned in a previous post, on October 6th, I brought my entire collection from storage in Indiana. 7 years in a 10 X 10 unit has really taken it's toll. The leatherette on an Electrolux model V, and XII, plus serious repairs to 2 model XXX's and several other machines need the kind of attention I cannot give them. These all need cords of the time period, and motor repair like bearings, motor brushes, oiling and a myriad of other minor repairs as well as a good polishing. Since it cost me a small fortune to ship them back via 2 U-Haul Pods, I need to replenish the bank account before delving into repair, and restoration.
My collection was once the official museum for the V.C.C.C, and in pristine condition, but the ravages of time in a storage unit took it's toll, and I find, I can't do this project alone. So the plan is to do one or two machines at a time till they are all brought back to the way I had them 7 years ago.

That's what I had in mind, the Electrolux model V, and perhaps one of the XXX's. As for the model V, the cord is shot due to being wrapped around one sled runner for 7 years, and the leatherette is ripped in several places. I have no idea of the motor, though it did run before it went into storage, however, I've never checked the carbon brushes. Also I have no attachments for it.
Before I do anything I'll send you the complete list, then decide on what's priority. I'll also need to have a ballpark price per machine. Time is not a factor, if I restore 3 or 4 machines a year, I'll be happy. All I need is to have them looking good with the motors serviced.
Here are some of the Kirby's in the collection. These are still in rather good condition, as for the others, I'm open to your suggestions.
