Hey everyone, I picked up this Turbopower 3 a few days back as this is my favourite out of the Turbopower 3 range.

The brushroll bearings sounded horrendous (I do have a video of that on my YouTube channel) and the bristles on the brushroll were almost non existent.

This particular Turbopower 3 was the baseline model out of the Turbopower 3 original line up and I think the colour is lush! This would of been the top of the line of the bottom of the line (if that makes sense) from Hoover at the time, the only thing that differed it from the top of the line Turbopower 3 was Autosense and Permabag (how would we of lived without those two features?..) but still had the powerful 1000 watt motor and staircleaning, which Turbopower 2's at that time did not have.

Here are some before pictures of the machines internal "organs" which were quite dusty...

There was a Hoover airfreshener fused to the exaust grill...

I did my best at getting it all off but as you can see it distorted the plastic with the heat of the motor.

You would realise that the bag light was illuminating, I think this was why!

Here was the Brushroll, not sure if it is aftermarket as it doesn't look original to me, but the bearings were shot in it and the bristles were very short.

Ah...

The best cleaners Hoover ever made. Well done on the refurbishment, young Alex.

Benny, I quite agree, they are the best good all rounder Hoover made, that's for sure.

I put in a "new" brushroll.

Very nice Alex - I told you that you might have needed your spare TP2 brushroll in the future. Did you wash the foam pre- motor filter? Mine disintegrated when I washed it.

So the bag full light works properly now then?

I have had a few Foam prefilters disintegrate on me before, yes I did wash this one and it came out just fine.

I thought the same thing about the brushroll, you were right! The bag light is working fine now, yes.

I found a blue one like this in a thrift store here in the US a few years back, it came with an Australian plug molded on the cord so I believe it to be from the Australian market. Naturally I snatched it up. I still have to get the proper plug adaptor so I can run it. I bought a step up transformer later on when a customer traded in a Dyson DC23 animal that came with her when they moved back here from the UK.

let us know what you think of it when you test it out. They are pretty good cleaners, not as good as the Turbopower 1 but then again, they are entirely different beasts.
