Just moved into a new place and this vacuum was left behind for me. Would like to find out more about it, and haven't had any luck on Google. On the bottom it says that it is made by "The T. Eaton Co LTD Canada" and it says that it is made in the USA. Any info you can give me about it would be great thanks. I think that it is pretty old, and still works great. I love it!

This looks like a derivative model of the old fashioned G.E. Swivel top canister vacuum. You can still get bags for this machine, last time I looked. Hope this helps!

Beerad...yours is a bit different than mine. The handle is different, as well as the on/off switch and the bottom where the casters are on mine. Just noticed that the hose is made from a different material as well. Do you think that it is the same vacuum, just that yours is a deluxe model. I noticed yours says deluxe under the dusmaster emblem, and mine doesn't. Do you know what year these were made, and did they just make one style for each year? I found a google image that looks exactly like yours and it says that it is made in 1959.

Indeed...looks like the first one is an older plain ol' Eureka Rotomatic with a wheeled base - rebranded for the Canadian Eaton's chain of department stores. The second one is a newer Super Rotomatic.

Always loved the Viking Ship logo on these Eaton's products!

Brad,

Your vacuum is a completely different model than Jayne's vacuum.

Guess its time for me to jump in.

Hi Jayne - your machine is listed as being called the Viking Power action in the 1960 Easton Catalogues for $66.95 By 1962 the price has dropped to $64.95. While Brad's machine isn't shown in the catalogues that I have the bags for it are listed so they would have been contemporary models.
