Here she is after the Mothers treatment. When I tore it down I noticed the wheel near the Emtor still had the factory plastic on the hub cap!

Very nice - a beautiful vac indeed and a lot of hard work went into polishing it up i'll bet. Its always very satisfying polishing an old Kirby when you see the end result, in that a 35 year old vac looks brand new again.
The Tradition is definitely a model I want to obtain myself, but the ones we get in the UK usually look beyond redemption when they appear on Ebay.

Very nice Tradition. I see you went with a new shakeout bag. Did you remember to remove the disposable bag adapter?

Bag adaptor is gone. The fill tube had a few tears in it also. I'm still surprised how thick the bag is compared to older shakeout bags. Seems like it would last forever.
