I'm looking for any information about the above vacuum. I bought one for $40 at a used furniture store and it looks like it has never been used. All of the attachments are with it and the instruction book. I would like to know when it was made and what it retailed for. I never heard of Fantom before this. Did I get a good deal?

I'd say you got a decent deal

As long as you have all of the attachments and the manual. This fantom was made by sanyo, for euro pro (they make shark vacuums). Some people like them, other's don't. This was part of a line of fantoms marketed by euro pro under the "fantom" name. There was another brand called "fantom". That was before this. That is because euro pro bought the fantom name from the bankrupt fantom technologies vacuum cleaner manufacturer around 2002. Fantom Technologies- made fantoms have no relation to euro pro fantoms, besides the name. Fantom was euro pro's main line of vacuums, until they came out with the infinity and the shark navigator. Euro Pro made fantoms from the early 2000's, to around 2008. Your's was probably made around 2005-ish? there should be the exact build date on the back of it somewhere. I think they are "ok" as long as you keep the filters clean.

Made until 2008? I bet Fantoms weren't made anymore by that time.
